The time taken for the pulse to travel 90 cm is 1.55 seconds so in order to calculate the speed we take 90cm and divide it by 1.55 seconds which equals to 58.0 cm/s (3sf)
We are able to change the speed of the wave pulse by increasing or decreasing the tension of the string which would make it faster and slower respectively
